CLiKS (Christian Links in Keighley Schools)
works with local primary & secondary schools,
supporting them in the most appropriate ways
for each school and sharing God’s love for
this important part of the community.
CLiKS seeks to work with children, school staff, governors and parents in each school community. As well as carrying on the established work in Keighley schools, e.g. assemblies, lessons and the Scripture Union events such as REWIND, CLiKS aims to build links between churches and the local schools.

Mr. Keith Hughes (Chair)Keith Hughes

I work part-time as a teacher of RE and as a driving instructor. I have been involved with a variety of children's work over the years, including helping with a Christian Union in a school and also going on the X:site National Holiday. I attend Trinity Church in Keighley. Alongside this, I have also been helping to deliver some training in Belarus for another charity I have connections with. I believe that working with children is vitally important in our modern world. With so many temptations and distractions it is vital that they are given other values to identify with. The work of CLiKS with its various events helps with this. I look forward to many more such events.

Colin StowMr. Colin Stow (Vice-Chair)

Iam a retired gas engineer, married, with 2 grown up children and a young grandson! I initially became involved with CLiKS because, as a Christian, I believe that we are commissioned to pass on the good news of our faith. With particular reference to CLiKS, I think it vitally important to provide insight and understanding of the faith to school children in Keighley and the surrounding area. I enjoy serving as a Trustee in order to further this work.

Fred Rich

Rev. Fred Rich

Originally from Oldham, I have lived in various parts of Yorkshire over the past 14 or so years. I was ordained in 2009 and previously ministered in Leeds. Before that I worked in retail. In May 2012 I became minister of Trinity Church (Baptist & United Reformed) Keighley and Riddlesden United Reformed Church. My involvement in CLiKS is very recent, but I am really encouraged and enthused by what I am learning about and seeing of this important work. It is my hope and prayer that this significant work in local schools will continue to expand and have an impact on the young people of our town.

Jannette Jones

Mrs. Jannette Jones

I was born and brought up in Keighley and I have recently retired from the NHS where I worked for the past 14 years in the administration side of things.I am married, with 2 children, and 3 grandchildren. I have worked with children since my teenage years, first in Sunday School, then in the uniformed movement as a Group Leader at the Church of the Nazarene. Currently I am one of the leaders at Friday Club for 5 to 11 year olds and have volunteered at Rewind and Fast Forward with CLiKS. I feel this work is so important as we can help children to know how precious they are to God, and how much He wants to be part of their lives. Going into schools on a regular basis will help in teaching the right values for life.
